We are extremely fortunate at Walton le Dale Primary School to own a swimming pool. The pool measures 15 metres by 6 metres with a depth of 1 metre. It's the perfect depth and size for children from 3 years old to learn and develop their proficiency and fitness. We have partnered with Swim Odyssey to deliver public lessons. We currently offer weekly lessons to our Reception children, Year 1 and Year 3 children as part of their physical education within the school day. They are also taught by Swim Odyssey.
These sessions take place within the school day. We ask that all parents with children who swim support the school by making a donation each half term via Parentpay. This contribution makes a huge difference to helping our school maintain this facility properly.
All children must wear a swimming hat and swimming trunks or costume. Children are not permitted to swim with loose fitting/long beach shorts or any type of jewellery.
