We are extremely fortunate at Walton le Dale Primary School to own a swimming pool. It's the perfect depth and size for children from 3 years old and adults alike to learn and develop their proficiency and fitness. Lessons are carried out by our own certified coach, Justin Daubney.
It measures 15 metres by 6 metres with a depth of 1 metre.
We offer lessons to children within three categories:
Beginner (non-swimmer)
Developing (able to swim a 6m width)

If you complete the short form below, a member of the school office will be in touch with you to help organise your swimming lessons. Lessons are charged at a highly competitive rate of £5 and are booked in blocks of 12. Payments to the school office of £60 are received in advance of lessons taking place.
We currently offer weekly lessons to our Reception children, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 children as part of their physical education within the school day. They are all taught by our swimming instructor, Justin Daubney.
These sessions take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays within the school day. We ask that all parents with children who swim support the school by making a donation of £40 (£1 per week/lesson). This contribution makes a huge difference to helping our school maintain this facility properly.
All children must wear a hat which is available for £1 from the school office and swimming trunks or costume. Children are not permitted to swim with loose fitting/long beach shorts or any type of jewellery.
