“That’s not fair!” How often do we hear children saying that? Fairness is the basis of justice, and is especially close to the hearts of children. It is important that things are fair, that children are treated fairly, and that they see that things are fair. We have found out in our assemblies this week why we have rules and laws so that everything is fair and we can build good relationships and stay safe and healthy. It is certainly inspiring to hear our children talk about keeping to the rules of school and looking after everyone. A number of visitors to school this week have commented on the manners and engagement of our children. We are always pleased with the positive feedback we get, however we are not complacent and recognise there is still work to be done further ensuring children achieve the very best they can whilst they are with us.
This week was a busy week for Mr Johnson and Mrs Billington, in reception, who took a delivery of 4 tonnes of soil. This was destined for the reception vegetable patch and without help of a small army of willing parents with spades and wheelbarrows, would never have got there! Thank you to them for all their help.
